RIEMANN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF MATHEMATICS
Riemann Prize Week
June 29th – July 3rd, 2026
Gathering world-class mathematicians from the most prestigious institutions to celebrate Mathematics

July 3rd, 2026 · PALAZZO ESTENSE, CITY HALL VARESE
About the Event
A Week at the Forefront of Mathematics
The Riemann Prize Week brings together some of the most eminent mathematicians of our time to celebrate and honour outstanding contributions to the mathematical sciences. This landmark event gathers world-leading researchers in analysis, probability, mathematical physics, and related fields for a series of lectures and scientific exchanges.
The event takes place across three exceptional venues: Villa Toeplitz in Varese - The headquarter of RISM, The academy Istituto Lombardo Accademia di Scienze e Lettere in Milan, and the magnificent city hall Salone Estense in Varese.
The 2026 edition carries a special resonance: it falls in the bicentenary year of the birth of Bernhard Riemann (1826–1866), the visionary mathematician whose revolutionary ideas — from Riemannian geometry to the Riemann Hypothesis — continue to shape the frontiers of modern mathematics.
