The aim of the conference
Hyperbolic partial differential equations, in particular (systems of) conservation laws, are the main topic of the Conference in honour of Rinaldo M. Colombo on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
The analytical techniques presented are also extended to the case of mixed systems in which other types of equations, parabolic or ordinary, are also present, often with the presence of non-local terms.
The motivations typically originate in specific problems, suggested by a wide variety of applications such as fluid dynamics, modeling of vehicular traffic flows and the study of equations inspired by epidemiology or biology.
